# What You Need:

→ Puff Pastry Base

01 - 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed

→ Filling

02 - 12 slices deli ham, thinly sliced
03 - 12 slices cheese, such as cheddar, gouda, Swiss, or mozzarella

→ Assembly

04 - 24 wooden skewers

→ Glaze

05 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
06 - 2 teaspoons minced garlic
07 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

# How to Make It:

01 - Set oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - Arrange one puff pastry sheet on a work surface. Lay cheese slices evenly over the pastry, followed by an even layer of ham. Place the second pastry sheet on top and press gently to seal.
03 - Slice the prepared pastry into strips approximately 1 inch wide. Fold each strip back and forth in a zigzag pattern onto a wooden skewer to mimic the shape of a tree.
04 - Combine melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. Brush the mixture generously over each assembled pastry tree.
05 - Bake on the prepared baking sheet for 20 to 25 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown.
06 - Allow to cool briefly. Best served warm, but also enjoyable at room temperature.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Use different cheese varieties for added flavor complexity. For crisper results, fully thaw puff pastry before assembly.
