01 -
Preheat oven to 350°F and coat a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
02 -
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef until fully cooked. Discard any fat. Add minced garlic and spaghetti sauce, stirring to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes to develop flavor.
03 -
In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, eggs, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and ground pepper. Stir until ingredients are evenly blended.
04 -
Spread 3/4 cup of prepared meat sauce over the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange 3 uncooked lasagna noodles on top. Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture over noodles, followed by 1/4 of the remaining sauce.
05 -
Continue layering noodles, cheese mixture, and sauce until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of 3 noodles.
06 -
Pour remaining sauce over the top layer. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. If using a thick sauce, pour 1/2 cup water evenly around the edges of the dish. For thinner sauces, use only 1/4 cup or omit water.
07 -
Lightly spray one side of a sheet of aluminum foil with cooking spray. Cover baking dish, sprayed side facing down, to prevent cheese from sticking. Bake for 50 minutes.
08 -
Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is golden and lasagna is bubbling. Allow to rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
