Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large oval or circle about 1/4 inch thick.

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with buffalo wing sauce until the meat is fully coated.

Spread the ranch or blue cheese dressing evenly over one half of the dough, keeping a 1-inch border around the edge.

Spoon the buffalo chicken mixture on top of the dressed side and sprinkle evenly with mozzarella cheese and green onions if desired.

Fold the dough over the filling to enclose and pinch the edges tightly to seal. Crimp the edge with a fork, if preferred.

Brush the calzone surface with beaten egg and make two small slits on top to allow steam to escape during baking.

Transfer the calzone to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
