Set oven to 350°F or temperature indicated on pre-made dough packaging.

Press sugar cookie dough onto wax paper to a uniform thickness of approximately 1/2 inch. If chilled, knead dough with hands until pliable.

Using the rim of a cup similar in size to the plastic ornament tops, cut out rounds from the dough, allowing for slight expansion during baking.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place dough rounds spaced apart.

Bake in preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.

Spread vanilla or white frosting evenly over the cooled cookies.

Place miniature edible ornaments in the center of each frosted cookie and sprinkle shredded coconut over the tops.

Top each decorated cookie with a clear plastic ornament top. Serve as festive snow globe cookies.
