# What You Need:

→ Tuna Filling

01 - 12 ounces solid white albacore tuna, drained
02 - 1/3 cup mayonnaise
03 - 1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced
04 - 3 to 4 tablespoons sweet yellow corn
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
06 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
08 - 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

→ Assembly

10 - 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
11 - 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
12 - 4 to 5 slices sandwich bread, any variety

# How to Make It:

01 - Set the oven or air fryer to 400°F and allow to fully preheat.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, green onions, sweet corn, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, yellow mustard, and chopped parsley. Mix until ingredients are evenly incorporated.
03 - Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet. Spread a generous amount of tuna mixture on each slice. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and top with 3 to 4 slices of jalapeño per portion.
04 - Transfer to the preheated oven or air fryer and bake for 7 to 9 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and bread is crisp. For extra browning, broil for an additional 2 to 3 minutes as needed.
05 - Remove from the oven and serve immediately while warm.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For a milder heat, remove jalapeño seeds before slicing. Adjust seasoning to taste and consider multigrain bread for added texture.
