Healthy Chinese Ground Beef Cabbage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb lean ground beef
02 - 4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
03 - 1 cup carrots, julienned or shredded
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
06 - 1 tsp sesame oil
07 - 3 green onions, chopped
08 - Salt and pepper to taste
09 - 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or 1 tsp chili garlic sauce (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the cabbage, shred the carrots, mince the garlic, and chop the green onions.
02 - Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
03 - Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it up and browning it. Drain excess grease if needed.
04 - Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
05 - Add the shredded carrots and sliced cabbage to the skillet. Stir and cook for 5–7 minutes, until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
06 - Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil. Add red pepper flakes or chili garlic sauce if using. Stir everything to coat well.
07 - Cook for 2 more minutes to heat through.
08 - Remove the skillet from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
