Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.

Add soy sauce and brown sugar to the skillet. Stir until sugar dissolves.

Toss in the cooked spaghetti and reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.

Stir in Parmesan and red pepper flakes. Mix until noodles are evenly coated and glossy.

Serve hot, garnished with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
