# Ingredients:

→ Chili Base

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1 medium onion, diced
03 - 1 clove garlic, minced
04 - 1 14-ounce can kidney beans, undrained
05 - 1 5.5-ounce can tomato paste
06 - 1 10-ounce can Rotel
07 - 2 tablespoons chili powder
08 - 1 teaspoon salt
09 - 1 teaspoon sugar
10 - 1/2 teaspoon cumin

→ Toppings and Chips

11 - 1 9.25-ounce bag of Fritos chips
12 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

# Instructions:

01 - In a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
02 - Add kidney beans, tomato paste, Rotel, chili powder, salt, sugar, and cumin to the browned beef mixture. Stir to combine. Lower the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.
03 - Pour a bag of Fritos onto a serving dish, or distribute a portion of Fritos onto individual plates or bowls. Serve the chili over the Fritos, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, and add desired toppings if preferred.

# Notes:

01 - Optional toppings include diced onions, diced jalapenos, sour cream, sliced green onions, diced tomatoes, or chopped bell peppers.
02 - To store chili, place it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for up to three months. Avoid storing with Fritos if you want to preserve their crunch.
