# What You Need:

→ Main

01 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
02 - 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
03 - 2 celery stalks, diced
04 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 3 cups cooked turkey, shredded
06 - 3 cups bread cubes, day-old or toasted
07 - 1 large egg, beaten
08 - 1 teaspoon dried sage
09 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Black pepper, to taste
12 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, for brushing

# How to Make It:

01 - Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
02 - Add the shredded turkey, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir thoroughly to combine, then remove from the heat.
03 - Transfer the turkey mixture to a large bowl. Add the bread cubes and toss to distribute evenly. Pour in the beaten egg and mix gently, adding chicken broth gradually if needed until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
04 - Form the mixture into 10 to 12 evenly-sized balls and arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
05 - Brush each ball lightly with olive oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown and crisp outside.
06 - Serve warm alongside gravy or cranberry sauce as a flavorful holiday accompaniment.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Leftover turkey and bread are ideal for this dish, making it a superb option for holiday leftovers.
02 - A handful of chopped pecans can be added for extra crunch.
03 - A squeeze of fresh lemon juice adds a lively, tangy note before serving.
