Evenly divide buttercream frosting into four separate bowls. Mix in red food coloring to one bowl, orange to another, brown to a third, leaving the fourth bowl white.

Spread orange frosting on top of the mini cake bites using a knife. Optionally sprinkle with a small amount of pumpkin pie spice.

Frost the tops of the mini cake bites with red frosting. If desired, blend a modest quantity of cherry extract into the frosting for additional flavor. Top with a few red sugar pearls.

Finely chop the apple pie filling and distribute it on top of the mini cake bites. Use a toothpick to create small lines around the perimeter mimicking pie crust crimping.

Pipe a dollop of the reserved white buttercream in the center of each decorated mini cake bite.
