# What You Need:

→ Filling

01 - 1 pound sausage meat or ground sausage
02 - 1 clove garlic, minced
03 - 1/2 cup finely diced onion
04 - 1 teaspoon dried sage
05 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Pastry

09 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

→ Egg Wash

10 - 1 egg, beaten

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add finely diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion is soft and translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
02 - In a large bowl, mix together sausage meat, sautéed onion and garlic, dried sage, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly combined.
03 - On a lightly floured surface, unfurl puff pastry sheet. Evenly spread the sausage mixture along one long edge of the pastry, forming a compact log.
04 - Brush beaten egg along the opposite edge of the pastry. Roll the pastry tightly over the sausage mixture to seal, placing the seam side down. Cut the roll into 6 to 8 equal pieces.
05 - Arrange sausage rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush tops with remaining beaten egg for a glossy finish. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 23 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
06 - Let sausage rolls cool slightly before serving. Present warm for optimal flavor.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For enhanced flavor, allow the filling to rest for 10 minutes before assembling to meld the aromatics and herbs.
