Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake (Recipe for Printing)

Creamy, rich chocolate cake with a gooey center. Soft, decadent, and easy to make for any occasion.

# What You Need:

→ Cake Base

01 - 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
02 - 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
03 - 1 large egg

→ Gooey Topping

04 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
05 - 2 large eggs
06 - 3 cups powdered sugar
07 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
02 - In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 large egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
03 - Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to create a uniform base layer.
04 - In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add 2 eggs, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar, mixing well until creamy and fluffy.
05 - Pour the cream cheese filling over the cake base. Use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly to the edges.
06 - Transfer to the oven and bake for 40–45 minutes. The edges should be set, while the center remains slightly gooey. Avoid overbaking to maintain the soft middle.
07 - Allow the cake to cool completely before cutting into squares. Optionally, dust the surface with extra powdered sugar before serving.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Drizzle with melted chocolate or caramel for extra richness, or serve warm with vanilla ice cream for a classic dessert pairing. Try substituting different flavored cake mixes for creative variations.
