# What You Need:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ Wet Ingredients

05 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
06 - 3/4 cup buttermilk, chilled

# How to Make It:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt thoroughly.
02 - Add cold, diced butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry blender or fingers to incorporate until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
03 - Pour cold buttermilk over the butter-flour mixture and gently mix until a soft dough forms. Do not overwork the dough.
04 - Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat out to approximately 3/4 inch thickness and fold the dough over onto itself 2-3 times to build layers.
05 - Using a floured biscuit cutter, cut out rounds and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently re-roll scraps to use all dough.
06 - Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F for 20–25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden and risen.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Ensure all ingredients, especially butter and buttermilk, remain cold prior to mixing for optimal flakiness.
