Combine softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl until evenly blended.

Slice the Cuban bread and liberally brush the garlic butter mixture onto the cut sides of each bread slice.

Spread yellow mustard on the bottom slice of each sandwich.

Evenly layer smoked ham, salami or roasted pork, pickle slices, and mozzarella or Swiss cheese over the mustard.

Place the second slice of bread atop each sandwich with the buttered side facing outwards.

Preheat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over medium heat.

Arrange assembled sandwiches in the pan. Press down firmly using a spatula or panini press.

Grill each side for 3 to 4 minutes or until the bread becomes golden and the cheese is fully melted.
