Coat a 9 by 13 inch baking dish lightly with nonstick spray. Arrange half of the brioche cubes evenly in the dish. Scatter cream cheese cubes and half of the strawberries over the bread. Top with remaining bread cubes to cover the filling.

In a large mixing bowl or glass measuring cup, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and kosher salt until well combined.

Pour the custard mixture evenly over the layered bread. Gently press the bread to submerge. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow bread to absorb the custard.

Remove baking dish from refrigerator and let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Transfer dish to oven and bake covered with foil for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for 25 to 30 minutes until top is golden brown and the center is set.

Garnish immediately with reserved strawberries and dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving.
